I get letters from Kurt often, communicating frequently, and help him what I can in requested items, articles, materials he can possibly use in his quest for an appeal.

Unfortunately Kurt is ONE of many children caught up in an SSRI nitemare, this tragedy was NOT premediated, but he was "intoxicated by an anti-depressant, which the dr who gave it to him, told him NOTHING, about any side affects, adverse reactions or contraindications of. He was a child, depressed, like many children ARE, drugs can be and do ALTER THE MIND, and one's thinking capabilities. Kurt loved his dad so very much, and even after over 11 yrs of incarceration, he still grieves so terribly for his dad.

PLEASE, get involved in helping to get the laws changed, help us to help Kurt with his appeal. He would appreciate letters, and your support.

PLEASE.... reference the donation board, and info on his main websites.

Letter from Kurt, he seems to be doing ok, keeping busy working on his project about SSRI's, and his public awareness "resource guide", he sent me a copy of it, very interesting indeed. Gabriel, who has donated Kurt's websites, in time, will have this resource info pkge available on line, to download a copy, if you want one.
He has included a list of people he wants me to send out his letter to, so am working on that now.

He sends "many thanks", to those who sent him a birthday card, said it really made his day much more pleasant.

Please do take the time to read his letter to "supporters", to include info
on his "legal defense fund" project.

Kurt talks a lot about the mountains, especially the Appalachians, happend to find a book about them on amazon.com, a used one, so less expensive, think he will really enjoy the adventure of it, and exposed him to the many beauties of the landscapes and country sides.
I share with him, my many biker trips over the yrs, out west, Canada and Nova Scotia. He should recieve this little book in a few days, know he will really enjoy it.

A few notes from Kurt today, says he has been so very busy, to the point of being chaotic at times, between school, chow, and his homework.

He sent me a copy of the "timeline", a summary of events from when the incident ocurred up to now, and what he has done in reference to research into the world of SSRI information, and many others affected by them.

He is aware of the funds amount, as I sent him frequent updates.

He is to send me his holiday pkge form soon, I think for PA, it falls in the month of Nov. They are only allowed 50.00 in items to get ordered for them. I HAVE ORDERED HIS HOLIDAY PACKAGE!!!

I have encourage him to write dialogs/comments and send them to me and I will post them on his site forums. He has an idea about the possibility of writing to Eli Lilly, the makers of PROZAC. It would give him a way to get all his emotions and feelings out about everything, as well as letting the public visitors know or get to know Kurt "better". I suggested to Kurt to consult Mr. Cohen, the attorney, before sending out any letter to the Big Pharmas. A CYOA thing!!!

He has requested for me to send him a copy of his website THE SAVE PROJECT, which will go out in Tues. mail.

I have written the attorney, Mr. Cohen several times, but no replies.
To my surprise, while I was away for a bit, I got a message on my phone to call the attorney, sure am sorry I missed that call, but do intend to try to make contact with him on Tues, if possible.

Also, Kurt has donated to the Kids Canteen Fund, another surprise, but greatly appreciated.

He seems to be doing alright, under the circumstances, let's all hope something soon will happen for him in a great, positive move.

A letter and card from Kurt today, seems to be doing alright, keeping busy with his project and appeal. He's been studying for a test in his college class. He said he found a radio station that plays nothing but Christmas carol music, he loves this time of the year, even there, Christmas is a happy time of the year for him. He said the guys make fun of him, when they walk past his cell and hear him singing along with "Jingle Bells", ha ha. But a lot of them get "down" this time of the year.

Said he spoke the the lawyer Mr. Cohen on Friday, mentioned he was gonna try to get up to visit Kurt, but was unable to make it, but perhaps in the near future.

He recieved the book I sent to him on the Appalachians, he dreams of one day, of experiencing them, himself, but the book allows him to spend some time on the "trail".

He has ask for some research on a variety of subject materials, and have sent this info to him in today's mail....As you can see he is always working on his S. A. V. E project.

An appeal is in progress, but legal funds are desperately needed to "go forward".

Got a beautiful hand made card and notes from Kurt. Says he is really in the Christmas spirit, says he and a lot of other guys there are helping with "mystery santa this year". they are helping to give some men a good Christmas. He also is working on his holiday card and letters to send out. Says he will be sending out letters to each person who wrote a letter in support of his commutation, it is the least he can do. He wants an aerial view(from google earth website) of his dad's property, I have printed that off for him, says it would be so nice to have just a little piece of home. He was so surprised to recieve an early gift this year, an attorney who is the author of "Pennysvania Trial Guide", send Kurt a copy, and stated he would even send Kurt the supplements as they are published, at least there are a few "good" attorneys out there, if only he could find one that would be willing to take his case pro bono!

He did very well on his college course test 98%. the final is coming up, then a month's break which he really needs.
He sends his thank yous to each of you who has participated/donated to his canteen funds and legal fund project.

Kurt sends to all who support him/communicates with him, for a blessed holiday season, and a great new year.

I still hear from Kurt often, and send him news articles and info I feel he would be interested in. Alo writing letters to the officials in PA, for what it might be worth for Kurt. It is election year, it is imperative we continue to campaign for justice for Kurt, and so many other children caught up in such atrocities of injustice.

Recently started a BLOG for juvenile justice and sent Kurt a copy of it, tho it changes daily, as I am adding new items to it often. Felt it would be another way to help with public awareness about all of these children.

Still hear from Kurt pretty often, even tho he is busy working on his appeal, and continuing to take educational classes.

They are allowed 50.00 in a spring and fall order package, which I have ordered his spring pkge a few days ago. I had ask Kurt to send me his order, to at least get to enjoy a few things he would like to have, twice a year.

Plan is still in the works, to visit him this summer, tho tentative, due to such outrageous GAS prices, along with everything else. A friend, advocate that lives fairly close to the facility has been kind enough to offer lodging, which will help greatly toward travel expenses.

Please consider writing to Kurt, know he would be delighted to hear from you and lending your support.

Please note the legal fund board, any donations, regardless of how small, is greatly appreciated. Our letters are so important to these children, it gives them a "window" to the outside world.

I still hear from Kurt often, to my knowledge, he has no contact with any family except his mom. Know Kurt would be glad to hear from you, let him know he is NOT forgotten. Kurt needs your support, he deserves a "chance" for the "child" he was. That time again, they are offered a chance of getting a spring package, only allowed up to 50.00 worth, Kurt never asks for one, but have just sent him one, with items I felt he might like. Perhaps by now, he has recieved it or will shortly.

Still hear from Kurt often, tho he stays quite busy with his appeal work.
His typewriter gave out on him, but has managed to get it sent out for repair, he feels so lost with it, and hand written items, takes so long.

He has recieved communications from a dr. overseas, willingly to help on is case, which is certainly a welcome change.

Hope all goes as planned to hopefully visit Kurt again in mid August.
Have earmarked August 9,10,11, but is tentative, will post about visits if I get to go.

Kurt seems to be in good spirits, and hopefully soon, something will break(for the good) in his case.

He truly enjoys getting cards and letters, please consider dropping him a note, his address is available here on the forum, for anyone interested.

Note from Kurt today, staying busy even helping others with an appeal. As of the day of his letter he still had not recieved his typewriter, and had ask that I call for him to see about the status of it. Was lucky to get in contact with the guy Kurt gave me a no. for, and found out it was shipped back on the 6th July, recieved at the facility on the 8th, so am sure by now he has recieved it. Know he will be so happy, he is so lost and needs it to finalized his appeal. He did recieved his spring pkge, which he really appreciated.

Cards/letters are his "window" to the outside world, are most welcomed, his address is listed here on the forum if anyone wishes to drop him a note.
