Dear Friend and Supporter,

THE CHRISTOPHER ANSON BROCKMAN MEMORIAL LEGAL AID CHARITABLE TRUST FUND is a non-profit organization created for the purpose of funding legal proceedings for the wrongful death lawsuit for Christopher Anson Brockman because he died in prison after suffering an untreated suicidal decompensation withdrawal adverse reaction to an anti-depressant.

Christopher Anson Brockman was my son. As his mother, I am trying to effect a change to prison mental health care that will save lives, so I earnestly request your donations to help me to bring to court this lawsuit. Funds are needed to pay for expert witnesses who will be able to testify in this lawsuit about the drug injuries and fatalities from psychotropic prescription medications and the failure of mental health care in prisons.

No amount of money on earth can pay for the loss of my son’s life; it would not bring him back. The purpose of this lawsuit is to gain a favorable judgment that will not only provide monetary damages on behalf of Christopher’s wrongful death, on which to build a non-profit foundation for mentally ill prisoners, but also to set a legal precedent, which will effect a change in the law for all incarcerated mentally ill. Historically, prisons have not only violated mentally ill prisoners’ rights to safe and effective mental health treatment, but have also harmed and caused the deaths of these mentally ill prisoners (See Americans With Disabilities Act; See Goodman vs. GA).
Parenthetically, many of these mentally disabled prisoners, who have been prison-classified in administrative segregation for their mental illness, were originally incarcerated at a time that they had either been off of their prescribed psychiatric medications, which can cause decompensation withdrawal, and/or had been on medications that are known for adverse effects of drug-induced mania, aggression, violence and/or suicide, i.e. Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs). In other words, many are in prison due to SSRI-induced adverse effects.
Therefore, a favorable judgment to effect a change to the law on behalf of these mentally ill victim-prisoners of psychiatric drug harm is imperative. Thus, a settlement is to be avoided at all cost since a settlement will not allow the lawsuit to go to trial for a case precedence to be set to help all mentally ill prisoners. If a legal precedence is not established, then the prison system’s mental health care will, without fear of legal reprisal or monetary reparation, continue to cause drug injury harm to mentally ill prisoners. To this day, Texas prisons continue to practice the same life-endangering mental health treatment, or the lack thereof, that caused the death of my son, Christopher. Nothing short of a new case precedent, monetary damages, and other financial and legal penalties will stop their malevolent disregard for the human life of the incarcerated mentally ill members of our society.

If you would like to help this lawsuit for Chris’ wrongful death, please send in the contribution form which you can find here:

We need your help to bring this evidence to trial to bring changes to save lives of those mentally ill prisoners who are at high-risk of suicide due to dangerous, untreated adverse reactions to psychiatric drugs.

All donated funds received by the Trust will be used for reasonably necessary legal services to prosecute the wrongful death lawsuit. All proceeds received from the Court’s ruling on the lawsuit will be used to assist incarcerated persons similarly situated to Christopher Anson Brockman and who may suffer life threatening drug injury from psychotropic prescription drugs.
“Judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.” James 2:13 “Remember the prisoners as if chained with them – those who are mistreated – since you yourselves are in the body also.” Hebrews 13:3 Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any help that you can give concerning these SSRI dangers. Please take the time to give others a copy of this information. There are other resources listed on the form that may help you or someone you know. We greatly appreciate your support.
